The audiovisual installation Spiderweb captures the dramatic nocturnal life of insects under street lamps. Attracted by the white glow, insects wander in vain, fail to fulfill their natural purpose, and become food for spiders who strategically build their webs around the lights. The work uses artistic form to highlight the environmental impacts of inappropriate public lighting and its effect on the degradation of insect ecosystems.
